The place that we are going to discuss is about a mystic river which can top the list in “Must Visits” as soon as one finishes reading this article. This Mystic River is in Serrania De La Macarena, province of Meta, Colombia. This Colombian river is a tributary of the Guayabera River. The famous name of this Colombian river is Cano Cristales. Due to the presence of algae and the rich sediments, this river projects the spectrum of colors that form the crux of the rainbow.

Reason for its Color:   

This place can be considered as one of the best escapes during free time. The color of this river is quite mystical and the main reason behind it is a plant named as Macarenia Clavigera. This is a special variety of algae that grows in different multitudes of color. The various color in which these algae can be found in red, yellow, black, and green. Due to its presence, we can view this mystical form over the river. This has also led to the river being termed as the World’s “Most beautiful River”. The calm nature, as well as the scenic beauty, does make it a sure visit during the holidays.

Best Time to visit: 

It is obvious that whenever we visit places, it is only during the best climatic conditions. Commonly, every place has its advantages mostly during its peak seasons. Colombia can be considered as a place that has a lot of natural beauties in its precious city. This is one of the main reasons for people to consider as a travel spot. The best time for visiting this mystical place is during July to the beginning of December. The place was under doors until 2009 due to the irrelevant influences of tourist and has been recently re-opened with several precautionary methods to avoid the place getting polluted. 

Possible ways to reach this place: 

For people living in other countries or states, it is obvious that they need to travel through air, sea or through railways to reach La Macarena. Once people reach this place, people can simply avail taxis and reach the Serrania De la Macarena National park. From here it is quite nearer to the river. People can either walk the distance as a part of short trekking or ride on a horse to reach this awesome place. The rates for a ride on a horse is quite cheap and people wanting to have an experience of riding a horse can enjoy it to a full extent. 

Well, all these reasons do completely justify visiting the Colombia river at least once in a lifetime.
