As the match progressed, the Indian bowlers were right on the money by not giving a single width for the opposition. Constant pressure on the Pakistan Batsman lineup provided the team with the first wicket of Imam Ul Haq. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam gifted their wickets and were soon off to the pavilion when the score was just 58 runs. Kuldeep Yadav got the first breakthrough for the Indians while the second one was by Yuzvendra Chahal. Both of them bowled brilliantly throughout their spells. A brilliant throw from Chahal marked the exit for Babar Azam.
It was time for the Captain "Sarfraz Ahmed" and the experienced of the lot "Shoaib Malik" to stitch a partnership and they were quite successful in saving the Pakistan team from falling apart.
After Sarfraz got out when the team score was at 165, Shoaib Malik carried his innings further before getting dismissed at a score of 78. The lower order batsman made sure that the runs keep ticking and pushed the team's score to 236 which was considered to be a decent total as the track was stated to get slowed down in the second half. Not to forget, Jasprit Bumrah too bowled beautifully and made sure that the Pakistan team does not score many runs during his entire spell of 10 overs. He conceded only 29 runs in his 10 overs by picking up the 2 wickets during his spell.
In the second half, the Indian Batsman started their innings with a positive intent and played as carefully as they can in the first 10 overs of the game. Both the Indian Captain " Rohit Sharma" and "Shikhar Dhawan" played brilliantly. Not only this, both the opening batsman bought their respective centuries in an epic fashion. Shikhar Dhawan scored his 15th Ton and the second of the series. A brilliant throw from Hassan Ali, saw Shikar return back to the pavilion after scoring the century. By the time he left, most of the job was done. Rohit Sharma too brought his 19th ODI ton in a calm way. In the end, it was one of the easiest wins for the Indian Team in the Asia Cup 2018.
