Makar Sankranti || Pongal || Movie Time || Petta || Visvasam || Kite Flying Festival
In the South, Makar Sankranti, Pongal and in the North it is time for the Kite Flying season and awesome festival time. People usually celebrate to welcome the onset of spring after a long winter season. It is the time when people pray to Sun God and wish for a fruitful year. Some people also believe that the year actually begins after this day.

People in the Northern part of India visit Haridwar, Rishikesh and take a dip in the Holy Ganga River with the belief that all the past Sins are washed away along the river. The festival is celebrated all across India with the states naming it according to their traditions. in Karnataka, it is termed as Makar Sankranti, while in Tamil Nadu it is called Pongal. It is termed as Megha Bihu in Assam, in the central as well as Northern part of India it is termed as Megha Mela. in short, one can say that the time is quite awesome and people celebrate it in a grandeur along with their families.

The festival is celebrated all along the week. The moment also favors the films that release during this time frame. In the year 2019, two awesome movies have released. One is Petta while the other one is Viswasam.

Both the movies are doing excellent business in the box office as expected. The best part is that both the movies have a lot of plus points that makes it quite worthy to watch them in the theatre. It is quite a rare occasion to see the Superstar Rajnikanth's Movie being released in a quite short period of time after the magnum opus "2.0" released a few months back. Many individuals did not like the story plot of 2.0 but after seeing Petta felt that the old Rajinikanth is back to his business of conquering the box office with ease. People are stating that after seeing Petta, the Rajinikanth of the '90s is back and there is no way that anyone can beat his acting skills and not forget his style. The movie also has Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Simran and Trisha acting along with Superstar Rajinikanth. Though the roles of the actress were minimal, they performed it quite aptly in accordance to the plot sequences. As a villain, Vijay Sethupathi did only impress us with his magnificent acting.

Viswasam, on the other hand, had Ajith Kumar, famously called as Thala and Lady Superstar Nayanthara in the leads. The family entertainer did live up to expectations as Ajith's previous outing did fail badly at the box office. People were not expecting much from this movie and its performance at the box office is quite a surprise. Good Word of Mouth for the movie has seen an increase in the flow of audiences to the theatre for the movie Viswasam. I would personally recommend each one of you reading this to go to theatre and watch both Petta and Viswasam. Have a great festival time all of you.
